We created our magazine advert using photoshop and as we have used this programme a lot in other lessons, we were able to use the tools well and create a good magazine advert. We discussed and all agreed before hand that we would go with a similar theme in both the magazine advert and the digipak. This were to include a brick wall as in the 'Oh me Oh my' scene in the video, they are in front of a wall. So we started off by walking round to same place we filmed the 'Oh me Oh my' scene and simply took a picture of the wall on my phone. We then uploaded this into photoshop where we began working with it. We decided to make this our background on the magazine advert
We then used the pictures that we took when we did the chorus scene in the music video and used the magnetic lasso tool the cut out each individual person holding a sign. We then used the filter and colour tools to give an effect the picture as scene below. The effect we made was as if the pictures were drew or graffitied onto the brick wall.
We were also searching for a 'graffiti' type font and we began searching the web. On dafont.com we found some very good and interesting fonts, and ended up using one which we downloaded for free called 'Cityburn'
Below is the first digipak in which we fought was our final one, however after looking over once again and getting some feedback,we realised that at the bottom it looked a little bit too cluttered. Therefore we got rid off one rating and spaced out the text more and we believe it looks a lot more professional, as you can see in the very bottom picture on this post.
